Wakemusic · FAQ
Why does cloud music stop playing when Wi-Fi is turned off?
The track may still be streaming from WebDAV, Navidrome or a cloud drive rather than playing a local copy. Check whether the file is stored on your device and whether mobile data can reach the server. Before relying on offline playback, disconnect from all networks and play the complete track; a short buffered section can otherwise hide the missing file.
Steps to follow
- Identify the affected source: a local folder, WebDAV, Navidrome or another supported cloud connection.
- With Wi-Fi off, check whether mobile data is allowed and whether the same server can be reached from that network.
- For true offline listening, use an available local copy and play the full track with every network connection disabled.
Streaming and offline playback need different fixes
If mobile streaming fails, inspect network access; if offline playback fails, inspect whether the complete file exists locally. A short buffered segment can mask the difference. Test several tracks before relying on the collection during a flight or underground journey.
