PlaylistPort · FAQ
Looking for a TuneMyMusic alternative to transfer playlists?
Looking for a TuneMyMusic alternative to move a playlist? PlaylistPort is an option if you prefer an app-based workflow. First check your exact source, destination and device: a service supporting Spotify does not necessarily support every Spotify library item or every transfer direction.
When is TuneMyMusic a good fit?
TuneMyMusic offers a browser-based transfer workflow. Its published plans currently include a free trial of up to 500 songs; Premium adds unlimited transfers, daily synchronization for up to 20 playlists and cloud backup. Check the current TuneMyMusic plans before paying, because limits and features can change.
That makes it worth considering when you want to work in a browser or keep selected playlists synchronized over time. A one-time migration and recurring synchronization are different tasks. Do not choose a replacement solely because it can copy a playlist once if you need tomorrow's edits copied automatically.
When should you consider PlaylistPort?
Consider PlaylistPort when you want to start a transfer from an app on your own device. Download links are available for the App Store and Google Play. Check supported routes and any purchase or usage limits in the version you install; this guide does not promise identical capabilities across operating systems or an unlimited free transfer.
For a specific move, start with our Spotify to Apple Music guide or Amazon Music to YouTube Music guide. These explain the route rather than assuming every music service behaves the same way.
How do you compare the results fairly?
Use the same small test playlist in each tool before committing your whole library:
- Include a studio recording, a live version, a remix, a clean or explicit track and a less common artist. These reveal differences a list of popular singles may miss.
- Confirm that the target music service offers those recordings in your account's country. A transfer tool cannot add a recording that the destination does not license there.
- Transfer into a new playlist. Compare artist, album, duration and edition, as well as the number of matched songs.
- Check order and duplicates before repeating a transfer. Keep the original playlist until you are satisfied with the result.
A copied playlist contains references to songs in another catalogue, not downloaded audio files. If something is missing, use the missing songs checklist before assuming a different tool will solve a catalogue restriction.
What if your reason for switching is the free limit?
Count the tracks you actually need to move and check the current allowance in each product. A trial may be enough for a short playlist; a large library may require payment. This comparison does not label PlaylistPort “free” or “cheaper” without a current, equivalent purchase comparison.
