Why can I read music on WebDAV or a NAS but not save edited tags?

Reading and writing are separate permissions. Check whether the account and storage connection used by Waketag allow changes to that file and whether the service supports writing it back. Confirm the saved destination rather than assuming a local edited copy replaced the remote original. Test one file and check available storage before editing a whole remote folder.

Steps to follow

1. Confirm which remote account is connected and whether it is allowed to modify the specific music folder.
2. Test one copied file and note where Waketag saves the result, including whether that is a local destination.
3. Reopen the remote file through the storage service to check whether the intended original actually changed.

Read access does not imply write-back

A server can permit browsing and downloading while refusing edits, or a connection may offer a local export. Check the storage service's supported behavior and free space before a large batch. Do not assume a successful local save has replaced the NAS copy.
