PlaylistPort · FAQ

Why does PlaylistPort not recognize my playlist link?

Copy the playlist's own sharing link from the source service, rather than a link to a single song, artist page or account. Check that it opens the intended playlist and is accessible with the selected account. Use the source service and import method offered in your PlaylistPort version; some playlists require sign-in rather than a public link.

Steps to follow

  1. Open the copied URL yourself and verify that it leads to the playlist rather than a song, artist or profile.
  2. Copy a fresh sharing link from the source service and use the corresponding import method in PlaylistPort.
  3. If access requires an account, use the supported sign-in connection and confirm that the account can see the list.

A readable link can still require permission

A link opening in your signed-in browser does not prove it is public or accessible through another connection. Avoid changing a private playlist's visibility just to diagnose it. Check source access and supported methods before assuming the URL is malformed.
